       Farewell and Alumni Meet was organized by G.H. Raisoni Institute of Engineering & Technology, Wagholi – Pune, at Chandraful Garden, on 6 th April’ 2013. Alumni from batch of 2012 year & onwards graced the occasion. The air was nostalgic and the ambience, absolutely a toast of party. The staff and the students were all excited to welcome the B.E students & alumni of their college with warm hearts and bright smiles. The function started with an introductory note by Mr. Mahesh Bhure(B.E-Electrical), he quoted that GHRIET, Pune had provided them the guidance and now they are set to fly high to touch the sky. Some of the students then shared their memories about their teaching staff members and HOD’s. Representatives from each batch walked up the podium gracefully to throw light about their batches.        Discussion on “Career Aspirations of Young Engineers” was organized at G.H. Raisoni Institute of Engineering & Technology, Wagholi, Pune on 6 th April’ 2013. This session was conducted by Prof. Anand Wagh from Zensar Technologies, Ms. Mukti Wagh (Sears Holding Inc.) & Mr. Kedar Nigavekar (Management Trainer).Total 21 students were shortlisted from different departments. The motto behind the session was to conduct a discussion and interview the “career aspiration of young Engineers”. Thus the questionnaire was based on define aspiration and then to express that what are the different perception in their mind about IT Companies. Every exam brings something new & different in an examinee. The approach completely depends upon the examinee whether to simply waste time or to write the complete paper appropriately One phrase states that whatever you do in life you should do it wholly. Today we have wasted one hour, and then what is the guarantee that tomorrow is final exam, we will write nicely. Thoughts become action, action becomes behavior and then behavior becomes character. Indians are lagging because of lay back attitude. Our casual approach towards everything is actually making us lazy & this will be carried forward. Inter college Basket Ball tournament was held at CUMMINS ENGINEERING COLLEGE , Kothrud. Our college star performers have won trophy by beating Modern Engineering College in final match. The tournament was from 22 nd till 25 th Feb’2013. Rahul Singh of S.E Mechanical was awarded the title of “Best Player”. The captain of the stunning team was, Ashish Ramgude from T.E E&TC. We would like to congratulate, Amit Kumar (T.E COMP), Swapnil Shelke (T.E E&TC), Mushir Ahmed (T.E E&TC), Saurabh Mali (T.E E&TC). “Perseverance   is mother of Success”.     

I am obliged that B.E ELEX’2013 had invited us at their hostel to celebrate “Saraswati Pooja”. Goddess was really present there and blessed all the students as well as the visitors. The spirit of Indians was actually shown by the B.E ELEX students. The word “admire” is very short. I am really admiring their organisational skills. The whole team work was absolutely magnificent. They had collaboration with other hostel mates. All the students were in high spirits and they showed us the respect unanimously. They were not from the same college but the spirit of deities was same. I am really thankful to GOD   that our campus students are really INDIANS. I would like to salute their parents for their upbringing. Three cheers!! for all of you.  

I am proud to be an Indian but then there is a hitch which actually stops me from celebrating the ceremony. Nirbhaya’s case is unresolved, Justice Verma’s suggestion are futile as because the norms suggested is very liberal for the rape criminals and seems more like an insult for common people who had fought for justice and pleaded for a safe society for girl child. If democracy is By the people, to the people for the people. Where the consent of people is missing then how we can call India as Democratic and republic country. It is not at all a republic as it is”MONARCH OF POLITICIANS”. Republic means a political system in which the supreme power lies in a body of citizens who can elect people to represent them. Early in the morning sharp at 3.43 am on 19 Jan’2013 the journey began from Kharadi by Pass. Finally all the students boarded the bus from different bus stops as per Ankit’s instruction. Ankit Kalantri, one amongst them, he is of the same age group like other T.E Computer students but he has all the skills of a manager. I had noticed that if a student carries whole responsibility then automatically he is able to do so due to his team mates. He had also formed a team. I am not much aware of their names but they were quite attentive to check whether the students were picked up from their respective pick up points. They all were in good mood and hence had fun throughout the drive towards Essel world. Ajinkya performed excellent comedy sessions. Ravi had sung melodious songs. Viral had danced in bollywood style.
