Industrial trip of T.E Computer'2013 to INA BEARINGS,Tulapur and outing at Essel World
Early in the morning sharp at 3.43 am on 19 Jan’2013 the journey began from Kharadi by Pass. Finally all the students boarded the bus from different bus stops as per Ankit’s instruction.
Ankit Kalantri, one amongst them, he is of the same age group like other T.E Computer students but he has all the skills of a manager. I had noticed that if a student carries whole responsibility then automatically he is able to do so due to his team mates. He had also formed a team.
I am not much aware of their names but they were quite attentive to check whether the students were picked up from their respective pick up points. They all were in good mood and hence had fun throughout the drive towards Essel world. Ajinkya performed excellent comedy sessions. Ravi had sung melodious songs. Viral had danced in bollywood style. Omkar had shown real sporting spirit by performing dance on folk songs. Amruta, Pallavi, Poonam etc. also were in rock & roll mood. This actually signifies that girls have equal rights like their fellow male colleagues to be expressive.
During the way towards Essel world, all the students shared their area of interests also the faculties had an opportunity to interact with them at an informal level. This is really essential for all the faculty members who teach the students for 3 yrs. The reason is that after F.E, the students shift to their stream like Civil, Mechanical, Computer, E&TC, I.T, and Electrical. Thus it is really important that the students who are part of the above mentioned department should be treated by respective department’s faculty members as family members of the department. Undoubtedly the educational trips actually give a platform to complete the path from a faculty to a facilitator.
This kind of tour makes them responsible as how to behave in public and how to socialize. I had to join the trip as only one mentor was there for girl students. But this was really a good opportunity to analyze and study their behavior. In a class while conducting lecture the interaction is always at a formal level. Thus actually a faculty cannot become a facilitator till he/she does not understand the students. I have a golden opportunity due to CLC but for rest of the faculty there are minimal chances for such an interaction with kids. Hence the conclusion is the faculties should definitely avail these kind of opportunities where they can understand the students and rather than labeling them.
There is always a purpose behind everything and ultimately it is an individual who can turn the stumbling block in stepping stone. I have seen that how these young lads have managed the whole trip in a planned, strategic manner as Top Level Management manages an organization.
