Innovative Minds

The major reason behind the failure of an individual is Procrastination. But there are students like Mandar from T.E Electrical (2015-16) who believe in continuous hard work. Whenever we look at ants they seem to be relaxed and roaming around. But they are always busy in collecting food for themselves and their team members. Innovative students follow the same lesson. During the term they work hard for grades and after the term ends they look for opportunity to interact with the industries by working voluntarily or may be as in intern. They are ignited minds and do not need any kind of external motivation.  Later these workers actually prove the Y theory. Several sustainable innovations come from these beautiful minds. This not only brings laurel for them and their families but is a boon for complete human kind.

Extempore Speech Competition’2015

Few are orator by birth. But few individuals have become an orator due to voracious reading and practising extempore speech. Globalization not only demands flawless English speaking but also thinking in English. Generally all the language experts lay stress that for quick sentence formation, an individual should think in the same language. As the demand of Soft Skills along with hard skills is increasing, the students are showing interest towards participating in English language related competitions, which are conducted by Cosmic Language Club at GHRIET,Pune. Thus there was immense response of students for participating in Extempore Speech Competition' Jan 2015.

Ganesha Chaturthi’2014

Image
Ganesha Chaturthi is celebrated in the month of Bhaadrapada. Students are always excited and they want to celebrate it with full potential in colleges. Ganesh Chaturthi starts with the installation of these Ganesh Statutes in colorfully decorated homes and specially erected temporary structures pandals in every locality. Students also bring the idol of Shree Ganesha by collecting monetary contributions. The same I had seen in our college campus, inside the boy’s hostel. They had erected a stage and decorated the idol with beautiful flowers.   However they are not aware about the significance of the Idol of Lord Ganesha and the purpose behind the decoration of the stage or pandal. He is worshiiped as the lord of beginnings and as the lord of removing all kinds of obstacles, the patron of arts and science, and the God of intellect and wisdom. Devotees interpret his elephant head as indicating intelligence, discriminative power, fidelity, or other attributes thought to be had by eleph...

Gurubandhu not Guru

Image
When the faculties stay connected with students then only they can understand there developmental needs. Earlier concept of academic teaching was that guru was a person who will be a role model for the disciple. But with changing trends the concept of guru has transformed to gurubandhu. Gurubandhu means a guru is not only a role model but also he is a friend on whom students can confide. There is a wide difference between playing a role of a parent and playing a role of a friend. Parents are generally over protective however friend always supports to take a calculative risk. Thus the calculative risk makes a person an innovator however an over protective environment leads an individual towards monotonous task performer. A guru has generally performed a role of a parent but gurubandhu has generally played the role of a friend. Hence it can be concluded that under a guru, managers are born but under gurubandhu entrepreneurs are born.           ...
