Can Women be better managers than Men?
Women’s adapt better to the environment. They delegate power more easily and reward people often.They invest wisely .If we think of the best Prime Minister till date then the first name will be of Indira Gandhi, as the way she had formulated and executed the foreign policies we are somewhat secure from our neighboring countries. She had that will power to take certain initiatives wherein diplomacy would not be an option.
Indhra Nooie , who has taken the charge when the company was in crisis and after which she used all her leadership skills to bring back company to the same position not only this but she is managing Pepsi Co. in an excellent manner.
Similarly if we notice the results at school level or at college level the females have always outnumbered the male counterparts. It clearly shows their intellectual skills. But then the question arises that they mug up the concepts and hence are not able to apply it.
However, the important qualities like patience, tolerance, accepting responsibility, sportsmen spirit, persistence, sincerity, honesty are certain traits which are generally present in women. Therefore if she is educated and well qualified for any position then the success rate will be 99%, as exceptions are there so 1% is set aside for it.
The communication skills of women are always excellent and this gives them an upper edge on men. Soft skills are imbibed in them by birth and so they do not have to attend any classes as generally male does if they are in higher position. The stereo type behavior had a crucial impact on male as they are born and brought up as a Prince who is not asked to enter in any kind of household chores, and is only suppose to study and play.
In gurukuls the kids were taught to broom and to fill water in containers and also to beg along with cooking as well as gardening. Hence they were humble and down to earth. However right from medieval period the stereo type behavior had widespread roots in our society and due to it the household chores are only detailed duty for girls. This all kind of responsibilities which they bear since childhood makes them mature and responsible not only this but also they automatically become born leaders and show leadership qualities. However young boys get a prince like treatment from their mothers as they cook meal for them, washes their clothes and not only this they are set free from all kind of household responsibilities. Ultimately this all leads them to have a lay back attitude towards life, exceptions are there but generally the situation is same as stated above.
In an organization if we notice the working professionals and look the trend then wherever females are working then meeting deadlines is never a difficulty. Somewhat there are plentiful claims made by males that females are generally confused and take hasty decisions. But if we notice the share of burden then if females have proper domestic help then they are better off at workplace and take calculative decisions as compare to male counterparts. Although women have mental strength same as men but again there are certain requirements for each job and if a person’s trait matches with it i.e. right person at the right place then we cannot claim that men are the best managers or women are the best managers.As it is the emotional intelligence and leadership skills due to which a person becomes a best manager hence we cannot claim that particular gender is perfectionist in managing human resource and an oganisation.
