GHRIET Pune has organized “Bhumi Daan Utsav” from on 18 th  January to 24th January 2017 at GHRIET, Wagholi. The GHRIET students believe in the quote, “Carefulness costs you nothing. The volunteers are mostly from Second Year, Mechanical Department. Due to the whole hearted support of their Head of Department, Prof. Arun Thakare, the students are motivated to contribute a lot towards the campaign. On 2 nd October,  the students have carried out the Swachh Bharat – The cleanup / tree plantation activity inside the college campus. On 5 th October, the volunteer students and faculties have taken blood donation pledge online & via SMS, because this will lead to cure a patient and save blood wastage as the amount of blood donated at a time is generally not utilized by the blood bank, but a pledgee can donate blood in the nearby hospital whenever all of sudden the requirement arises.  The Seva Sandwich activity is carried on 8 th October, the beneficiaries are the Angels of Snehalaya Institute. GHRIET students have attended the session where, they have watched a movie,"INVICTUS". But there were two students, who were different from the others. Their approach towards watching movie was analytical as they have observed all the important messages of the movie. An individual is different from others only if they think in a different manner. Different sort of thinking is developed by learning how to think in a creative manner. This creative thinking gives birth to innovation.
