GHRIET, Pune has organized “BHUMI Daan Utsav”


GHRIET Pune has organized “Bhumi Daan Utsav” from on 03rd October to 08th October 2016 at GHRIET, Wagholi. The GHRIET students believe in the quote, “There are two ‘i’s’ in Fundraising – they should stand for inspiration and innovation, not imitation and irritation,” as quoted by Ken Burnett. On 2nd October,  the students have carried out the Swachh Bharat – The cleanup / tree plantation activity inside the college campus. On 5thOctober, the volunteer students and faculties have taken blood donation pledge online & via SMS, because this will lead to cure a patient and save blood wastage as the amount of blood donated at a time is generally not utilized by the blood bank, but a pledgee can donate blood in the nearby hospital whenever all of sudden the requirement arises. 




The Seva Sandwich activity is carried on 8thOctober, the beneficiaries are the Angels of Snehalaya Institute. The GHRIET Volunteers have shown immense love and affection for the differently abled kids, they have fed them and also have spent valuable time by enjoying a conversation with them. 


On the same day at Snehalaya a reading Activity is carried by the volunteers, where every person have read a story to a child and also motivated the child to read it again. This activity has strengthened the value and ethics amongst the GHRIET students and also there awareness towards the society responsibility is enhanced. The value of life is not in its duration, but in its donation.

GHRIET, Pune believes in this quote since its inception that “You are not important because of how long you live, you are important because of how effective you live”, as quoted by Myles Munroe.
Jitender Sharma, Arshia Shaikh, Akash Kumar Jha, Aditya Kumar, Swapnil Akale, Ayush Pandey, Rameshwar Chavan, Akash Musale, Madhav Panchal, Avinash Karale, Prachee Patil, Bhushan S, Shruti Bhandari, Sayali Kadam, Mugdha Kulkarni, Dhanashree Sankaye with the support of Asst. Professor Meera Singh , Asst. Professor Deeksha Bhardwaj, & Ms. Jyoti Bobe (Librarian) have successfully organized the Daan Utsav week of BHUMI (NGO), under the guidance of Dr. R.D. Kharadkar, Principal, GHRIET Pune.
